From the foregoing table it will be L

that the principal products of the Department of 207)

Windanao and Sulu are hemp, luber sopra and pearl

shells. Tax, almaciga and outtapercha are smaller

produsta capable of expansion.

In addition to these products rubber has

been under cultivation in several districts of the

Department for some five or six years, and it is

hoped that rubber will form an important article of

export in a year or so.

The population of the Department is

The larger part of the foreign trade of the Department is carried on with the port of Singapore. A few importa principally from America * as tinned goods come via Manila, whilṣt a few tons and meats are brought from Australia.
